– Tue, Feb 20, 2024 at 06:34:03 AM
Hello fellow Gamestormers!
As detailed in our last update, we're incredibly excited to bring you another card game from the same world as Gamestormers. In our newest Kickstarter release, Doomscroll, you are an AI (advertising Imp) in a fantasy world, aiming to curate an addicting enough feed to sell ads for your company. And yes, you guessed it - the company name is Doomscroll!
We would be honored to have your support for our next project. Simply head to our Kickstarter page to pledge, or share with any friends/family/colleagues/doomscrollers who you think might be interested. Thanks, as always, for your incredible support for our products!
Best,
Jon
New Kickstarter from the Creators of Gamestormers, Last Call & THANK YOU!

Hi Fellow Gamestormers,
It feels like just yesterday we were sharing updates with you about Gamestormers, our board game where YOU design the game! We're incredibly grateful for your unwavering support of our first game release. With that in mind, we're making a "last call" of sorts - if you have had any issues receiving your game, let us know! We had a few declined cards, unfilled surveys, and other details, but we need YOU to let us know what you need to get your copy. Thank you!
And... We are launching Doomscroll, a fantasy social media card game, on February 20th!
Yes, you heard us - our second game launches on Kickstarter next month! In Doomscroll, you take on the role of the AI (advertising imp) for the next big social media platform ... Doomscroll! Your job is simple - create the most addicting and engaging 5-card social media feed in order to sell ads. The first imp to sell 3 ads wins!
The best way to make sure you score your Kickstarter-exclusive discounted copy is by going to our Kickstarter page and choose "Notify Me on Launch." This way, you get reminders leading up to the campaign release on February 20th!
Thank you, as always, for believing in Gamestormers. We're so excited to continue the Gamestormers world with Doomscroll, which is set in the same universe! However, this is not a Gamestormers knock-off - our wonderful team at OwlGhost Studios has created over 40 new incredible pieces of art for the new game, and Doomscroll supports solo and 2-player setups for those who wanted lower player counts from our last campaign!
We're so excited for what is coming next - and it is all thanks to your initial support for Gamestormers. THANK YOU!
March Gamestormers Update - Your Game is (likely) on the Way & Launch Events!
– Tue, Mar 07, 2023 at 07:58:57 AM
Hi Gamestormers!
The day has finally arrived! For many of you, Gamestormers is either on the way to your address OR has already arrived. Woooooo!
That means we've entered the final stage of the Gamestormers journey - fulfillment! Our partners at eFulfillment Service in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, have been working diligently to send out hundreds of orders. USA & Canada folks should see their games this week. Other international friends should see their game by the end of March - hooray!
If you have NOT gotten notification about your Gamestormers order being shipped, there's probably a good explanation of why:
You did not complete your BackerKit Survey and we have no idea where to ship your game! Look in your email for a message from BackerKit on behalf of GamestormEDU to get it completed, or go to gamestormers.backerkit.com/
Your payment for the game and/or shipping failed - most likely from a card that expired recently. Update your payment via the survey on BackerKit so we can complete your order!
We messed up! Without question, we will make a mistake (or 17) in fulfillment. If you believe you've filled out the BackerKit survey AND paid us for shipping, contact [email protected] or message us via Kickstarter. We want to help!
Share Your Gamestormers Photos with Us!
Now that the official Gamestormers games are in the wild, we want to see YOU with your copy! Share your photos along with the #Gamestormers hashtag, or tag us on your favorite social media:
We cannot wait to see you all enjoying Gamestormers - we appreciate your support throughout this journey!
Gamestormers Launch Event at Noble Knight Games This Saturday
Speaking of the journey, we want to celebrate this milestone with all of you in person! This Saturday, March 11th, we're holding a Launch Party at Noble Knight Games in Fitchburg, WI, from 10 AM - 2 PM... we would be honored to have you join us!
We will have lots of fun activities for you - custom Gamestormers card creation, Gamestormers swag, and plenty of extra copies the game in case you need them. Plus, Noble Knight is hosting a Magic: The Gathering tournament, a Dungeons & Dragons Adventure League, AND Girl Scout Cookies will be for sale! How can you say no?!
Thanks, as always, for your incredible support of Gamestormers. It means the world to us!
Best,
Jon
February Update Correction - Doomscroll Art & Improved Timeline!
– Fri, Feb 24, 2023 at 07:11:31 AM
Hi Everyone,
I have two important corrections/updates to our February Gamestormers Message that went out yesterday:
1. Incorrect Doomscroll Art - Updated Below
For the Doomscroll card comparison, I mistakenly posted cards with filler art from another game. Thankfully, my wonderful art team at OwlGhost Studios alerted me to the error and sent a version with some of our epic Gamestormers art instead. Here's an example of a card with our art!
We'd still love to know if you like dark mode (left) or light mode (right) - comment on this update or the last one to weigh in!
Just as I hit "send" on the February update, my logistics partners at IGT informed us that Gamestormers is heading to a shipping facility and should hopefully arrive at our fulfillment center around Monday or Tuesday of next week. This is 1-2 days earlier than our previous email stated, which means we're hopeful US backers will get their copies before March 10th if all goes well! Ditto for our friends overseas regarding their timelines too.
That should be all for updates/corrections! You may now return to your regularly-scheduled end of the week. On behalf of GamestormEDU & our fantastic Gamestormers team, we wish you all a restful and relaxing weekend!
Best,
Jon
February Gamestormers Update - Closing in on Fulfillment & Next Projects!
– Thu, Feb 23, 2023 at 07:48:36 AM
Hi Everyone,
Lots has happened since our last update - Gamestormers landed safely in the United States, our shipment took a trip on the railroad to Chicago, and we ALMOST were held up for a week by customs, but through some miracle, we made it out without a long inspection. This photo is probably how it went down:
Without further ado, let's get to the updates:
1. Gamestormers Heading to Fulfillment Center from Chicago Hub
As foreshadowed above, Gamestormers made it by rail to our Chicago hub. Next stop? Our fulfillment center in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan! Although we don't have an exact ETA for the games, a conservative guess puts the games at our partner facility around March 1st. Then our fulfillment partner estimated 1-3 business days to sort the orders and then begin shipping to all of you! So... what does that mean for an estimated ship date? We're hopeful for Monday, March 6th, which means hopefully USA folks get their copy in the mail around March 10th if all goes well!
For international orders, we do believe our friends abroad will see your orders coming in following March 10th depending on region, but we do believe most everyone should have their games by the end of March. Hooray!
Speaking of shipping/fulfillment, don't forget to complete your Gamestormers survey and pay any outstanding game/shipping fees. We cannot send your game to you without receiving your payment via the survey!
2. Newest Logo & Card Mockups from Our Next Project, Doomscroll
Because we do not like free time, we've already launched into our next game project - Doomscroll!
Doomscroll is a 1-4 player competitive card game where you serve as the AI to a social media company in a fantasy world. Your goal is to sell ads by making an engaging feed for users, using their interests and a little emotional manipulation in the process. To do so, you add posts into their social media feed, such as the ones below:
Speaking of which, we would love to hear your opinion on the card designs. Which do you like better - dark mode (on the left), or light mode (on the right)? Comment on this update to let us know!
Doomscroll is still quite a ways off, but we thought you, the wonderful Gamestormers backers, might be interested in it. Fun fact - Doomscroll is set in the same universe as Gamestormers, so you might see some familiar faces in it!
3. Upcoming Gamestormers Events, News & More
Gamestormers had an exciting month thus far - we shared our game at the WEMTA Conference in Wisconsin and IDEACon in Illinois. Below we've got some events, news & more to share about Gamestormers:
Gamestormers is headed to the Midwest Gaming Classic from March 31st - April 2nd in Milwaukee, WI
Our CEO, Jon Spike, appeared in a news story from UW-Madison about how his alma-mater influenced the development of Gamestormers.
