Hi Everyone,
What a week it has been!
We've had custom character cards added to the Gamestormers collection, new progress on our next stretch goal, and much more! Let's check out the highlights:
Newest Custom Character Card - Artist Marc Brunet!
A few days ago, we received our 2nd and FINAL Elder Gamestormer Pledge - where one lucky fan becomes a playable character card in Gamestormers! The good news for all of you - EVERYONE gets the card in their Kickstarter copy of the game!
What was even more incredible was WHO backed us at this $1,000 level - none other than Marc Brunet, a former Senior Artist at Blizzard and current head of the Marc Brunet Art School. A great deal of our talented artists, included lead artist Vika Fajardo, attended Marc's school. What an honor it was to permanently recreate him in the Gamestormers universe - check it out!
The Marc the Magnificent card also appropriately enhances a card you've created at the Theater... You can bump its value from two to three victory points, just like Marc improves every work of art he sees with his feedback and ideas. Thanks so much to Marc for not only supporting this project, but helping our art team grow and develop.
Closing in on Stretch Goal #2 - Linen Card Stock
We're almost to that $20,000 funding goal, which means... a card quality upgrade! Our cards currently are what is called white core stock, and we would upgrade the quality to a nice linen finish. What does this mean for you, the player? Your cards will stand up to repeated use EVEN LONGER!
Help us get to that next stretch goal by sharing out Gamestormers with your friends, family, and other interested community members. Next stop after the card quality upgrade? FIVE NEW STORYLINE CARDS FOR EACH BACKER! How amazing would that be?! Each backer would get a new Storyline to use as inspiration for their game creation from each of the five main Gamestormers worlds - for free!
Last Week for Gamestormers Character Card Creation Contest!
Whew - that is A LOT of C words in a row... but we wanted to make sure you knew that you have ONE WEEK left to submit your Character Creation. All you have to do is head to the Character Card Template, make your card of you or a loved one, and submit it to the brief form. You can win copies of Gamestormers OR fantastic Gamestormers swag!
The contest will end on May 5th, the same day our Kickstarter Campaign wraps up. Get your submission in today!

Hi Everyone,
We're entering Week 3 of the Gamestormers Kickstarter Campaign, and there are TONS of exciting updates to share with you, our wonderful backers. Here goes!
Stretch Goal #1 Unlocked - Dry Erase Scorecard
Thanks to your efforts, sharing, and more... we unlocked our first stretch goal by surpassing $15,000. Your reward is an endlessly reusable, dry erase scorecard! No worries about finding a pencil or running out of paper scoring sheets... this baby will NEVER run out!
And, with that, we turn our focus to the next two pledge levels - upgraded card quality and five new Storyline cards! For the card finish, we would upgrade all game cards from card stock to linen finish... meaning your cards will last longer and survive years of handling.
For the Storyline cards, your Gamestormers experiences would gain one NEW Storyline card option for each of the five main Gamestormers worlds - Civilizations, Fantasy, High Seas, Horror, and Sci Fi.

Gamestormers Custom Cards - One Down, One to Go!
Thanks to our incredible Elder Gamestormers backers, everyone officially gets TWO NEW CHARACTERS in their copy of Gamestormers... how cool is that?!
You might be asking yourself, "Who ARE these new custom characters though?" Well, we're ready to unveil the first completed custom character - Theo the Trailblazer!
As you might recall, Theo's parents chose to have him immortalized in the game, and our wonderful team at OwlGhost Studios brought Theo to life with their brilliant illustration. His love of flying comes through in the trailblazer title, and any player who chooses Theo will get one additional action on their turn, once per game!
In addition to unveiling Theo the Trailblazer, we're excited to announce that Marc Brunet, former Senior Artist at Blizzard and founder of Art School for Digital Artists, is our second custom character! Many of his graduates have contributed illustrations and card art for Gamestormers, and we are thrilled to have him as a character in the game. Keep an eye out for updates about Marc's character!
Gamestormers Worlds Contest - Our Winner!
After a back-and-forth affair between Cyberpunk, Mythology, Plantasia, Sweets, and the Wild West... We have a winner!
Mythology is your next Gamestormers World... as chosen by you, the backers! Thanks so everyone who submitted world ideas, voted, and promoted the contest.

Gamestormers Contest #2 - Create YOUR Character Card!
It's time for our second Gamestormers Contest... and this one's personal. We want YOU to create yourself as a Gamestormers Character Card. Doing so is easy:
Add your photo, a Bitmoji, or any other avatar to represent YOU, and then give yourself a name and ability (hint: Gamestormers have alliterative names like Sloane the Summoner or Irina the Innovator)!
Do a File > Download As > .png to save your Gamestormers Card, then submit it to our Contest Form for a chance to win!
We cannot wait to see YOU as a Gamestormer!
First Custom Character Back Card - Theo the Trailblazer!
As you may have noticed, we offered two opportunities for backers to add themselves to the Gamestormers world by creating a special tier for being made into a Character Card. The first to do so was the Dreyer family, who have selected their son, Theo, to be the person added to the game!
Theo loves flying with his dad in their single-engine plane, so we thought Theo should be a daredevil pilot inspired by his flights to help him design games. And thus... Theo the Trailblazer was born!
As you can see above, the first sketch of Theo turned out FANTASTIC. We will keep updating you with progress on our Theo the Trailblazer card throughout the campaign. Next stop? A fully-colored illustration!

Gamestormers Worlds Contest - Submissions Close Sunday, April 10th at Midnight CST
Our first Gamestormers contest is coming to an end - we want YOUR ideas for the next Gamestormers Worlds to include in future expansions of the game! To submit your idea, fill out this short form with your new world idea. Gamestormers features Civilization, Fantasy, High Seas, Horror, and Sci Fi worlds already - what should be the next ones?
After the submission window closes Sunday evening, we will post our favorite ideas to all backers as a poll and see which idea emerges as the fan favorite!

Upcoming Gamestormers Media Appearances
Gamestormers Designer Jon Spike will be appearing in a few different mediums in the next few days!
Jon shared his story of designing Gamestormers with Doug and Michael from the Gameschooler Podcast and website. The episode goes live today - April 8th!
The Gamestorming livestream will have its weekly episode on Monday, April 11th at 8 PM CST / 9 PM EST, where Jon will share about Gamestormers and its next steps, along with answering ANY questions you might have. You can hop in on YouTube, Facebook, or Twitch!

I'm speechless. What started as a dream and a promise to my daughter, Sloane, has turned into a Kickstarter that funded in less than two days. Y'all are incredible.
Sloane cannot contain her excitement that we funded!
Stretch Goals
Now that we've funded, let's get to the REAL fun - stretch goals! The first goal is going to make your Gamestormers game more environmentally friendly, last longer, and taste better (okay, so maybe not that last one, heh)!
It's... a dry erase scorecard! Instead of 20 score sheets, you'll be able to use your dry erase markers to fill out the scores and have a game that lasts. The downside? No posting those scores to the refrigerator. The upside? Take a pic of that dry erase scorecard and share with the WORLD how dominant you were at the latest round of Gamestormers!
We've also got upgraded card quality, new Storyline cards, and MUCH MORE that can be unlocked!
